In a bold move on his second term, former and current President,  Donald Trump has launched a large-scale operation targeting illegal immigration, resulting in the arrest and deportation of over 500 individuals in just the first few days.








Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s press secretary, took to X to announce that 538 people had been detained, including suspected terrorists, gang members, and sex offenders. Many of them were swiftly deported using military aircraft, marking what Leavitt referred to as "the largest deportation operation in history."






In a dramatic step, Trump has declared a "national emergency" at the southern border, calling in 10,000 troops and signing orders aimed at overhauling the immigration system. This includes plans to build a wall and ramp up detentions of foreign criminals.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on Monday, March 24, 2025 busted a Ponzi Scheme Academy and arrested 133 suspects in Abuja.   They were arrested at the Compensation Layout in Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,  Abuja,  following actionable intelligence on the existence of the Academy. The Academy, named Q University (a.k.a Q-Net) is in the business of  recruiting gullible young Nigerians who are trained to recruit more gullible citizens into the scheme with the promise of getting unrealistic profit returns.   Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd), on Saturday visited the ongoing reconstruction of the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex Accompanied by the Head of Civil Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, Ibas was received by Engr. Omaka Oko, General Manager of Monier Construction Company (MCC) Limited, who led the tour of the project site on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt. Ibas emphasized the importance of the legislature having a functional workspace and expressed confidence in the contractor’s adherence to schedule, stating, “By the end of six months, this place will be ready for those who need to use it.” The project features a two-story building with 34 en-suite offices, an elevator, a gallery, meeting rooms, and a conference hall. But President Bola Tinubu in his broadcast claimed that Suspended Governor Sim Fubara did nothing to rebuild it.
